Form and Size: The leafless stems of golden drumsticks are about 12 – 24 inches long. At stem ends, there are spherical shaped flowers that have a 1 – 2 inch diameter.
Vase Life: 7 – 14 days
Availability: late-spring – fall
Care Instructions: Remove any leaves at the bottom of the stem, cut under water and place in fresh water with flower food.
History and Usage: A member of the Compositae (aster) family, golden drumsticks originated in Australia. Part of its botanical name, globosa, means spherical. This is in reference to the shape of the flower head.
Points of Interest: Relatives of golden drumsticks include sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum, gerbera.
